Senegal’s Minister of Investment Promotion, Partnerships and Development of ​ ​ State Teleservices, Khoudia MBAYE, launched on February 27, 2015  the 1st Senegal PPP ​P​rojects Fina​nc​ing Forum (SENPPP), w​h​ich is scheduled from 5 to 7 May in Dakar. Eminent personalities were​ at this ceremony:​ among Senegal’s Secretary of State to the rail networks, ambassadors and head of representatives of multilateral funding agencies and several leaders from the private and public sector. SENPPP’Finance will be organised by the Ministry of Investment Promotion, Partnerships and Development of the State Teleservices, in collaboration with the event organizer AMETrade of events. This key event is placed under the patronage of HE Mr. Macky Sall. President of the Republic of Senegal.

The inaugural SENPPP’Finance event will target the potentialities of the socio-economic sectors of Senegal. It will comprise of three (3) days of plenary sessions, technical workshops and a trade exhibition. It will focus on targeted PPP projects as well as analysing the latest project finance tools. In addition to this there will be site visits to some of Senegal’s most successful completed PPP Projects.

It will be a high level meeting of international investors , the Senegalese private sector, PPP experts , senior officials of financial institutions, principals, development partners and donors as well as service companies

SENPPP’Finance will provide a platform for discussions on the prospects in the medium and long term in PPPs and issues related to innovative financing of projects, both in Senegal and throughout the continent.

SENPPP’Finance offers a full range of opportunities for all public, private and multilateral actors, comprising of three main components:

  • Scientific: Panels and discussions on innovative financing tailored to PPP projects in Senegal and the sub-region (participation of development banks, investment funds , commercial banks, business partners etc.);
  • Exhibition: Exhibition of partnership offers from investors and financial product offerings from financial institutions (development banks, investment funds, commercial banks etc.)
  • “Sales of PPP projects in the Emerging Senegal Plan “: detailed presentations of the PPP project sheets to investors, entrepreneurs and financial partners.
